MERIT AWARD

Description in Bylaws:

15. PSMLA may annually confer one to three Merit Awards upon individuals or institutions that have rendered exceptional service in the promotion of foreign languages. Recipients will receive a plaque at the annual fall conference of PSMLA and recognition in THE PENNSYLVANIA LANGUAGE FORUM.

Process: At the Spring PSMLA Executive Council Meeting, the Executive Council shall select a recipient of the Merit Award to be given at the next year’s Fall Conference of PSMLA. Nominations from the Council will be discussed and a recipient will be selected by vote. The Chairperson of the Awards Committee will send a letter to the award winner, informing him/her of the award and inviting him/her to the Fall Conference.
