All membership plans are valid through the calendar year, expiring January 1.
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS
 
Regular Membership:  Membership length is for one or two years.  Currently the membership fee is $40 for one year and $70 for two years.  (Members whose school has an institutional membership may deduct $5).
 
Student Membership:  Student membership is available for full-time students or part-time students  WHO ARE NOT EMPLOYED AS REGULAR CLASSROOM TEACHERS.  A copy of a valid student I.D. must be provided.  Currently, the membership fee is $20 for 1 year, and $35 for 2 years.  Membership remains valid if you graduate and obtain a teaching job before your student membership expires.  However, the first time your renewal is due after your employment, you will become a regular member and pay the regular membership fee.
 
Joint Membership:  Joint membership is available for two members (married couples, roommates, partners)who have the SAME HOME address.  Only one copy of the Forum is sent, but both members may vote.  The current membership fee is $50 for 1 year and $80 for 2 years.
 
Life Membership:  This membership is available for both regular and retired members.  Currently, the lifetime membership fee is $400 for regular members, $250 for retired members and $500 for joint members.  Life members will be entitles to all benefits of PSMLA membership.  May be paid on installment plan.
 
Retired  Membership:  This category is available to members who have retired.  The fee is $25 for 1 year and $40 for 2 years.

PSMLA is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the teaching and learning of languages and cultures from kindergarten through university levels.
 
All PSMLA memberships begin every year on JANUARY 1 and are valid throughout the calendar year..
