The Episcopal Academy (Philadelphia area) seeks a Middle School Spanish teacher who brings teaching expertise, outstanding interpersonal skills, and an ability to connect with students. The primary goal of the World Languages Department is to provide a rigorous program, which allows students to become proficient speakers of Spanish. Though the development of oral proficiency is our focus, listening, writing, and reading are integral components of our program. Our classroom philosophy emphasizes student participation. We believe that the language classroom should be an active place, with students at the center of that activity. Appreciation for the cultures of the countries where Spanish is spoken is a very important part of our program as well. Interested candidates may submit a cover letter and resume to: jobs@episcopalacademy.org. Use subject line: "MS Spanish". Please title attachments as follows: Last name, First name, Name of document.
